Committees & Caucuses
CUPE Local 3913 has several working committees and caucuses. All members are welcome to join a committee or a caucus. For more information please contact committee and caucus chairs by emailing them directly.
Note: In order to join a caucus, you must identify as a member of the group that the caucus represents.
Executive Committee
To provide leadership and oversight to ensure the Local operates in an effective, professional, and well-organized manner, in accordance with the Bylaws and the decisions of the membership.

Finance Committee
To manage, oversee, and report on the Local’s financial resources, including budgets, benefits, insurance, and membership dues, ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible use of funds.

Grievance Committee
To review member concerns and grievances, determine appropriate actions, and make recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding grievances and cases that may proceed to arbitration.

Health & Safety Committee
To support member health and safety by preparing for CJHSC (Central Joint Health & Safety Committee) meetings, reviewing agendas and minutes, and addressing workplace health and safety issues raised by members.

Stewards Committee
To coordinate, support, and guide College and Departmental Stewards, and to maintain a strong and effective steward network that represents and assists members in the workplace.

Bylaws Committee
To review the Local’s Bylaws on a regular basis and to recommend revisions that ensure the Bylaws remain clear, current, and reflective of the needs of the membership.

Bargaining Committee
To research member priorities, develop bargaining proposals, and plan strategies in preparation for negotiations with the Employer for upcoming rounds of collective bargaining.

Equity Committee
To represent and support members from marginalized, oppressed, or underrepresented groups, and to promote equity, inclusion, and fairness within the Local and the workplace.
