Amanda Wuth (she/her) brings a strong foundation in student advocacy to her role as Vice President Internal with CUPE. Her previous experiences as a Student Senator and General Director with the Graduate Student Association (GSA) have helped her develop her advocacy skills. She is currently a PhD candidate in Management (Organizational Leadership) at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business & Economics, where her research focuses on understanding how workplace ageism events are experienced and appraised by younger and older employees. Amanda is passionate about fostering inclusive and supportive academic workplaces. In addition to her academic and union work, Amanda also contributes to emergency management operations, reinforcing her dedication to public service and community well-being.

Michael Yu is a 2nd year PhD candidate in Management at the School of Hospitality, Food & Tourism Management at the Lang School. His research interests revolve around consumer behaviour in food and restaurants. He wishes Canada's weather would simply alternate between spring and fall, skipping summer and winter altogether.

Unit 2 Steward

I have a Ph.D. in Comparative History. I arrived in the University of Guelph under the Scholars-at-Risk program in 2018. Since 2022, I teach several courses in the Departments of History and Political Science as a sessional. I worked as an executive member in different unions in different countries before arriving in Canada.

Grievance Officer

Alexis Fabricius (she/her) has worked with the Union for the past four years, first as department steward (Psychology), then college steward (CSAHS), and as Vice President External for the past two years. As VPE, she was an active member of the CUPE 3913 Bargaining Team and participated in the very long process of renegotiating our Collective Agreement. Alexis now brings her experience to the role of Grievance Officer and is keen to help members navigate the unique labour issues that sometimes come with TA and sessional work. Outside of the Union, Alexis is a fifth year PhD candidate whose work focuses on data, AI and ethics. She is also an avid watercolour painter and huge fan of her perfect, grey cat, Bootsie.
