Grace Goderre (they/them) is a third year MSc candidate in the Ontario Veterinary
College studying sudden cardiac death in racehorses. Grace’s advocacy work began
over a decade ago, working for the Minister of Education as a student advisor on the
Ontario Health Curriculum. Since then, they have formed and led groups uniting
disabled people, advocated for stricter policies for sexual and gender-based violence,
spoken about sexual violence and mental health in academia, and pushed for increased
funding and resources for under-represented groups within a range of organizations
including the University of Guelph. Grace is passionate about equity, institutional
accountability, and fair conditions for all. In their limited spare time, Grace is usually
found with a horse.
