This article gives you the important dates and deadlines for the election this year. The details of the election was discussed at the Winter Membership Meeting. The timestamps are as follows:

Nomination Period: January 27 – February 3
If you are interested in running for a position, this is the time to submit a nomination form. You must ensure that it is completed and signed before submitting it to email@example.com. Here is a link to the nomination form.
If you are not currently a Member in Good Standing (MGS), you must be one in order to run for a position. Please submit a MGS form along with your nomination form if you are not currently one. Here is a link to the MGS form. If you are currently a MGS, there is no need to resubmit a form.
Nomination forms will be accepted on or before February 3 @ 11:59 PM. They will not be accepted after this date and time.
Campaigning Period: February 3 – March 3
If the position you are running for has two (2) or more candidates, you will be able to campaign during this period. As a part of campaigning, you may submit a statement of no more than 250 words to firstname.lastname@example.org, and if it does not contain any racist, misogynist, transphobic or homophobic content, and it does not implicitly or explicitly denigrate the opposing candidate, we will post it to a dedicated space on the website without edits.
Voting Period: March 7 – 21
If you wish to vote and you are not a Member in Good Standing (MGS), you must submit an MGS form by February 28. Here is a link to the MGS form. When you are a Member in Good Standing, you will receive an email from “Simply Voting” on March 7 with a unique numerical code to access the election website. Please note that only positions that are contested – those with two (2) or more candidates – will appear on the ballot. Positions with only one (1) member running are automatically acclaimed, unless the candidate drops from the election.
The results of the election will be announced at the Spring Membership Meeting.
